Moving The Cave: September 2021 Update

After moving in to my new house nearly a year ago, a workbench space, the most used area of the Craftsman Cave is complete!

This workspace is comprised of Craftsman's Industrial Tool Rack system, with the racking you see here being part of a 2-pack. The top is 1/2" oak plywood sealed with Varathane Satin PolyurethaneCraftsman VersaTrack, and a 4-drawer tool cabinet and of course many, many Craftsman tools!

Zooming in and taking a look will unveil plenty of Craftsman's latest offerings, from the 'new' era after the brand was acquired by Stanley Black & Decker, while other things range from vintage Sears items, promotional items, rarities, collectibles, and even exclusives.

The VersaTrack system seen here touts one of my most favorite features: with the VersaTrack mounted to my concrete block basement wall, primed 1/4" pegboard is suspended in the center between the sections of trackwall, creating an ultimate versatile solution for my tool organization.

What you see here is an organization of not only my most used tools, but also popular tools that are convenient to have in an easily accessible location.

Despite this looking so organized, and the amount of effort it took to get to this point, I assure you that I truly believe a workshop is always a work in progress, and the Craftsman Cave will always be evolving and changing; though I really do like the way I have set this up so far.
