Back On The Woodworking Scene

Rewind back in time back to the Sears era, when one could get a wide assortment of bench woodworking tools bearing the Craftsman logo. Now under Stanley Black & Decker ownership, it appears Craftsman is making a comeback in this category with new woodworking bench equipment. Here is what has been discovered so far:

10 Inch Drill Press
This new drill press, CMXEDAX69434601 should NOT be confused with existing SBD Craftsman model CMXEDAR300, which is a 5 inch model. This new 10 inch model boasts a 4.1 amp variable speed motor, has five operating speeds from 610 to 3070rpm, a rack/pinion adjustable height cast iron table that can be titled for beveled drilling, LED worklight, and adjustable depth stop. Take a deeper look at the drill press here.

9 Inch Band Saw

Another upgrade, CMXEBAX69434602 has added features from  SBD Craftsman model CMXEBAR600, which is also a 9 inch model. This new band saw, while retaining the same power rating adds on a fence and table extension. Take a deeper look at the band saw here.

Bench Sanders

Completely new in the lineup are three bench sanders. Belt and disc sander CMXXSAX69434606 has a 6x48 inch belt and a 9 inch disc with a 3/4hp 6amp motor (here), 12 inch disc sander CMXXSAX69434607 accommodates a 12 inch disc and delivers 1725rpm with a 7.5amp direct-drive motor (here), and benchtop sander CMXXSAX69434608 has 1x30 inch belt and 5 inch disc and a 3amp motor (here).

Scroll Saws

Another complete new solution are two scroll saws. An 18 inch model, CMXESAX69434604 includes a stand, worklight and other features (here), and a 16 inch model, CMXESAX69434603 sports a table with a miter slot and gauge (here).
